NFC / Near-field communication

NFC ("near-field communication") is the technology that, among other things, makes it possible to pay by touch bank card - and also for smartphones to function as touch bank cards.

The RFID The essence of NFC, which is classified under ("radio-frequency identification") technologies, is that a radio frequency data connection is established between two suitable asset, typically located no more than 10 centimeters apart. NFC is fast and convenient, which is why it is now a part of everyday life. 

Its most common field of application is a finance (touch payment), but it is also suitable for many others. It can be used for personal identification, images and documents can be sent with it from a smartphone to another one nearby, but there is already an NFC-capable soccer ball.
